Legacy POS Drivers

Download UPOS (OPOS & JavaPOS)

These packages support Windows applications using the OPOS or JavaPOS API. Extract the package and readme files and run setup.exe. The 4610 SureMark Printer support requires the latest firmware. OPOS 1.5.0 was the last release to support Windows 98 & NT. OPOS 1.70a was the first to support the 4800-7x1 and 4840-xx3 systems. UPOS 1.9.x packages have the IBM 1.42 JVM. UPOS 1.12.x packages have the IBM 1.5 JVM. UPOS 1.13.x packages have the 1.6 JVM.

This version of OPOS is the companion to POSS for Windows 1.4.3. It also supports the SureOne. Be sure to first install POSS for Windows 1.4.3 on 4694 and 4695 POSTs. This release can be used with Windows 95. Do not use this with POS Suite.

Download JavaPOS

You must use the IBM 1.4.1 JVM or later. We do not support the Sun JVM with these releases. Version 1.71 and above support the IBM 1.41 JVM, include the JRE and are the first to support the 4800-7x1 and 4840-xx3. Version 1.72 and above of the Linux package only support IRES. For releases 1.90 and above, JavaPOS for Windows is combined with OPOS in a UPOS package, link above.

Please read " JavaPOS Installation Instructions" in the Knowledgebase after downloading these drivers. Be sure to first install POSS for Windows 1.4.3 and Sun's JDK. The extended file names used in this package are not supported by DOS utilities such as PKZIP. You should use WINZIP or an equivalent utility.This release can be used with Windows 95. Do not use this with POS Suite

Download POSS for Windows

This version of POSS for Windows only supports RS485 connected retail peripherals. It does not support USB devices. This release can be used with Windows 95.

This package supports Redhat Linux 7.1 applications using the Point of Sale Subsystem C/C++ API. Extract the packages and readme files. The readme contains the installation instructions.

This version includes all updates through version 1.6.0D. It has been recompiled with MASM 6.13. If your application provider has not certified your POS application's compatibility with this release, you may want to download the previous release below.

This integrated package supports applications using the POSS for Windows, OPOS and JavaPOS APIs. It also includes our POS Device Diagnostics. If you have trouble downloading the full package above, download the split package parts. Extract the files and run setup.exe. The 4610 SureMark Printer support in this release is optimized for firmware level 34 and above.
